This Farmstay is a dream come true. We stayed here for a month with our 5yo and our 3yo, and we all absolutely loved it! The apartment is very well equipped, and Peter and Nina go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.
The kids loved having a lot of space and freedom to wander around, and being able to see and feed the animals: they fell in love with Mara the goat, and every day they’d go play with her and collect fresh leaves to feed her. They also enjoyed feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs to take to Peter and Nina. When we arrived the kids were slightly afraid of the animals and struggled to get to the top of the farm hill, and by the time we left they were comfortable with all the animals and could walk to the top of the highest hill of the regional park on their own: this place really allowed them to thrive! The area is quiet, reserved, and very relaxing: it’s right next to the Papamoa Hills Regional Park, where we went several times to hike, discover plants with the kids or sit on the bench and enjoy the view.
Supermarkets, shops, cafes and the beach are all about 10 minutes away by car, and the location is perfect to explore the best of the best of the North Island.
If we ever come back to New Zealand, we feel like we now have a home away from home.

Excellent place for a family holiday! Clean, tidy and accessible, very close to the beaches and supermarkets. Meeting the lovely farm animals and collecting fresh eggs in the morning was an enjoyable experience. Hosts Nina and Pete are absolutely wonderful and welcoming, they certainly go extra mile to make their guest’s stay more than comfortable. Highly recommend it and we would love to go back.

Visiting from Scotland, great place to stay with children, 1yr old granddaughter loved the pet rabbits and chickens as well as the trampoline. Rope swing for older children and a very doable hill walk at the back of the property. Property itself caters for rainy days with an assortment of board & other games for children. Nina our host responded to any queries immediately, and was very affable and helpful. A selection of local supermarkets are a short 10min car journey away. Would highly recommend this property for families.

My husband, myself and our cat stayed at the Farmstay for a month when we first arrived in new Zealand.
The property has everything you need for a longer stay; full kitchen, washing machine and line, super comfy bed and cosy heating. The location is gorgeous, you walk out the front door to be welcomed by lambs, rabbits, chickens and goats! The Farmstay is rural, and as such is really peaceful, whilst also being 5 mins drive from local shops and the beach.
Peter and Nina were excellent hosts, Peter welcomed us to the area and showed us the farm, going out of his way to help us settle in a new country.

We loved our stay here and would LOVE to come back! The hosts are lovely people and very attentive. The rooms were clean and there were board games and there's tons of stuff to do on the farm and around the area too it's a great location! Best part was getting to feed the animals!!! Definitely recommend!

This is really comfortable and well appointed accommodation in a beautiful rural setting but only minutes from the beach and shops.
Wifi was fast and reliable with Netflix on TV. Our stay in the winter months meant we made good use of the woodburner, it was very cosy! Lounge and kitchen are very spacious.
The orchard with rabbits, chickens and trampoline were very popular with our small grandchildren. Would highly recommend.

Nina and Peter are fantastic hosts. Their communication was quick and efficient and Peter was a great host showing my boys around the farm and introducing them to the animals. The boys loved the rabbits and collecting fresh eggs every day. The apartment is so well equipped, with wonderfully cosy beds and quiet and warm. We loved all the green space around us and the peace and tranquility. We will definitely be back!

What a great little getaway from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful patch of land with so much for the kids to enjoy outdoors. Being able to explore the different paddocks with a variety of animals was such a great experience, and having the freedom to wander means you really do feel at home.
The home itself has everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay. The board games provided were a great hit with the kids, and the stack of books and magazines were also a nice extra. While the wifi could be slow at times, it was actually a good way to make use of the quiet away from the noise and enjoy a game of chess instead.
Nina and Peter ensure you have everything you need on your stay, quickly responding to queries and offering help if needed. This is such a wonderful place to come especially if you have kids. Have already recommended to friends.
